“What is the cost of…?”

One of the most common inquiries for any product or service, especially for home improvement: “What does [X] cost?”. Renovations, repairs, or improvements to the home are not free, and due to the technical nature of most projects, they are typically not cheap. I’m writing today’s post in hopes to provide some useful information for budgeting your kitchen renovation project.

New Maple Kitchen Cabinets 

Cabinets: $2,800 (MDF box, Maple Doors) – $6,500 (full wood box plus doors, 36″-42″H wall cabinets, hardware upgrades, etc.)
Labor: $3,000-$5,000
Other projects that are effected: flooring, plumbing, counter tops, etc.
Potential additional costs: $1,500-$4,500

Typical total cost: $8,000-$15,000

Full Refacing

Refacing of cabinet frames and replacement of cabinet doors.

Typical total cost: $6,000-$11,000

Door Replacement Only

Typical total cost: $4,500-$7,500
